Friday Night Anarchy was shaping up to be an anticipated action-packed show, with some blockbuster matches already lined up. From the main event featuring two of the most prominent stars, to the opening triple threat showcasing the newly acquired talent of FCW, to another awe-inspiring Alonzo Parker match, that according to him claims will be sure to win ratings. The matches were set, the tickets were sold; the only thing left to do was to promote the show.
Alonzo arrived at the studio at 11am to do a radio show, the day of the weekly Anarchy program. He entered the room with the same display of smugness on his face, brushing past the hosts who extended their hands. He was wearing casual clothing, consisting of a customized black sweater with his logos and nicknames on it, a pair of jeans, as well as a pair of tinted sunglasses. He swigged from his water bottle and put on his headset, calmly waiting for the interview to begin.
“This is the EPIC Morning Show. I’m your host, Greg ‘The Red’ Herrington.”
“And I’m Johnny Crawford, being joined LIVE from the studio here today, with FCW superstar, “The Spotlight”, Alonzo Parker. ‘Zo, welcome to the show. It’s an honor to have you here.”
“Yeah, I bet it is.”
“I heard you had to clear up your schedule to meet us in person, is that true?”
“You know how it is. Everybody in the media wants a slice of the Million Dollar Player.”
“Of course, there’s no arguing there. It’s contagious. But uh, yeah, to kick things off, you’re a relative newcomer around FCW, having signed a contract only a few weeks ago. What made you want to compete in a place like Full Contact Wrestling?”
“Initially it was the competition. I was told the level of competition was at its peak, and that if you wanted to duke it out for superiority, then that was the place to be. But then I came to the conclusion that there’s no such thing. There’s no one to outdo, to beat, or even work your way up against; I’m that man. I step foot inside an FCW and I instantaneously leave my mark in history as the criterion of excellence. The alleged ‘big dogs’ are nothing compared to me. So obviously, I have re-evaluated my situation. Why did I choose to wrestle in FCW? Because without me, this company will be a sinking ship. Out of the goodness in my heart, I’m doing them a favor. Having me around will keep things afloat.”
“That’s interesting. So, you pretty much think you’re the saving grace of this company, and--”
“Sure I am. It’s not even an opinion, it’s a fact. Everybody knows it.”
“Yeah, but really, how can that possibly be true if you’re not in the main event?”
“How exactly do you define the main event, Greg?”
“It’s usually the last match of the night.”
“That’s where you’re wrong. You don’t need to be in the last match to headline a show. You can be in the opening contest and still garner the most attention. Since I’m Alonzo Parker, any match I’m in is the main attraction. Don’t let those silly Weekly Recaps fool you, the people who write those things are obviously blind… and probably suffer from some kind of mental illness if they actually ranked me behind the likes of Matt Kraven and Wizz Kid. It’s evident that I’m more athletically gifted than those amateurs, and it’s blatantly clear that I draw more viewers than the entire roster combined.”
“Let’s change the subject for a moment. Summer Salvation, big pay-per-view, what are your expectations? Do you see yourself taking part in an important match?”
“Well, ideally I thought I made it perfectly clear that any match I'm in is important, but I'll answer the question anyway. The Ultimate X match looks good, as it could be my shortcut to a title shot. My ticket to the top. However, I’m sure the execs will stick me against another mediocre buffoon for me to decimate. Another ingrate to make my winning streak grow. We’ll see. Speaking of mediocre, though, I’m facing another atrocious individual on the card tonight.”
“That’s right, your opponent is Christian Cage. Do you think he’ll be more of a challenge compared to Raven and Cody Rhodes?”
“If he can last longer than five minutes, he’ll be my biggest adversary yet. Again, I don’t think fans will be tuning in to see who will emerge victorious. It’s a matter of how quick I’ll dispose of him. So get your timers ready, that’s all I’m gonna say.”
“Indeed it is, because I’m afraid that’s all the time we have. All you fans out there, you can check out Friday Night Anarchy at the usual timeslot, where you can see the cocky, brash, Alonzo Parker in action as he is set to fight Captain Charisma, Christian. Alonzo, we know you’re a busy man, we won’t hold you back. Feel free to drop by anytime, it’s always a pleasure.”
“No problem.”[/i][/color]
