This week has witnessed Full Contact Wrestling thrust into the international spotlight. The death of millionaire owner RM Volgur has received coverage on every major television and radio news network. FCW as a company has been in complete shock from top to bottom. Despite it all, this week's Anarchy is scheduled to proceed as planned. FCW.com has felt the impact of this turbulent week. The site having had more visitors this week than in any previous week of it's existence.
The following interview is one of the few pieces of coverage not related to the late owner that will air from the site. Randy Orton stands by with Todd Grisham. By his side is the latest addition to his stable, Seifer Blacke. Orton is individual who has refused to be caught up in the hype and media hoopla. He hasn't taken his eyes off the prize. His personal goals are still first and foremost on his mind.
Tentatively Todd begins, "I am standing here with Randy Orton, and the newest member of Legacy, Seifer Blacke. Randy, obviously this has been a tumultuous week in FCW, to say the least. We have been getting the thoughts of FCW superstars as we interview them, if you have anything you wanna add..."
Orton chimes in, "How fitting is it Todd, that merely a few months ago, RM Volgur was declaring himself God? While I do have some respect for a man who sets goals for himself and achieves them, a man who does whatever it takes to become a success, I think it's time we all resign ourselves to the fact that RM Volgur is burning in Hell right now."
Immediately regretting the question Todd speaks up, "If everyone would, please note that the views expressed by Randy Orton are entirely his own, and in no way reflect the opinions of Volgur Enterprises, Full Contact Wrestling, FCW.com, or myself. Randy I'll shift gears here for a moment. We are now a couple of weeks removed from 'Last Resort.' Where would you say you stand right now in terms of a ranking?"
"I stand at the top, I stand head and shoulders above everyone else. Ask the man on the street Todd, and you will consistently get the same answer. He'll probably say he doesn't like me, but he'll tell you that I am the most dominant man in this industry. He'll tell you that at any given time I could step in and claim the world championship. That's who I am Todd. No matter what kind of setbacks are thrown my way, I am never more than a breathe away from getting my world title back."
"Randy FCW has seen an influx of fresh new talent recently. Have you seen anyone show up who impresses you."
"No, well Alonzo Parker looks good, but it's still to early to tell. Everyone else I've seen seems like a joke. This isn't a cartoon. This is where the real talent in the world of professional wrestling come to compete. A lot of these new guys are gonna end up going home broken hearted."
"Your match has been set for 'Summer Salvation.' It doesn't appear you'll be going for the world title, rather you will meet Jimmy Gimmick. Any thoughts on that?"
"Yes, I haven't forgotten about you Jimmy. I know right now you're in some corner sobbing, or maybe curled up on your bed in the fetal position because daddy never loved you. Guess what Gimmick I don't give a damn. I'm still going to annihilate you. If I have to I'll drag you into that ring at 'Summer Salvation' Jimmy. I hate your guts Gimmick. I hate you because you made me take this to a personal level. You made me take my focus from the world title, if only momentarily, and for that Gimmick you will pay."
"Well Randy, this week you go one on one with the Rated R Superstar, former world champion, Edge. Edge has been impressive as of late. This should be a great match-up. Your thoughts?"
"Great match-up? What universe are you living in Grisham. This is going to be a glorified squash match. This is going to be easy."
"Even you can't deny Randy, that Edge has been impressive lately. Not to mention the fact that he was one half of the first ever FCW tag team champions in the Redemption phase. And a former world champion, who won the world title from you."
Randy looks at Todd hatefully, "How stupid are you? I should smack your mouth Todd Grisham. Edge never beat me. I was suffering from an illness when I went into that match. Everybody knows that! Besides he never pinned me. And okay, he may be one of the best superstars in FCW, I'll give you that. He may even be second best. But the fact remains, at Anarchy he will face the greatest professional wrestler alive on the planet today, Randy Orton. I'm not one of the best, I am THE best. And I am too much for Edge."
"Well we all look forward to the match. In a week so dark and filled with sorrow, maybe Anarchy will entertain us all. Maybe it'll make us forget the tragedy of this past week. Even if only for a while. I'm Todd Grisham for FCW.com."
With those words the scene fades.
