*Requiem’s main event concludes and Alexander Parise and Wizz Kidd have both made there way backstage, the show looks ready to go off the air for the final time when suddenly…*
*A hush runs across the sea of fans whom have filled the FCW arena, as the familiar opening chords of The Offspring’s You’re Gonna Go Far Kid chime in, and like clouds filling the sky on a sunny day Jimmy Gimmick steps through the curtains out onto the stage.*
Michael Cole: I guess Jimmy Gimmick’s feeling better than when he last spoke, he hasn’t appeared for a public address in quite some time.
Tazz: I’m not going to question it, just enjoy it.
*Gimmick isn’t even halfway down the aisle before he has a mic pressed to his lips and begins shouting orders into it.*
“Cut the music. Cut the music!”
*His entrance theme arrives at an abrupt stop; Gimmick looks around to the booing fans who surround him, and smiles. The smile is cold, calculating, and familiar. The fans open contempt for Gimmick continues to grow more and more audible however, the cocky number one contender ignores there reaction and begins his fast talking speech.*
“Welcome to Requiem, I invite all fans, hatred filled hecklers, and the indifferent to a night of action and excitement, twists and turns, bloodshed and victory, sweat and tears, this is the show that features everything from wrestling to Greek mythology, regardless of your race, sexual orientation, or other categories you fall into you will be entertained!”
*Gimmick strides down the aisle his head held high, entirely ignorant to his surroundings, or at least that was the outward sign he presented. Gimmick climbed the steel ring steps in the corner of the squared circle and as he did his mouth didn’t stop moving.*
“This week I could stand before you as usual and question the relevance of my weekly appearances on this show whilst berating my obscure opponents, however, with Last Resort just around the corner I have moved on, and now focus only on the singular opportunity I have been given to be in the ring with the very man who earned his now lofty reputation through betraying me.”
*Gimmick now stood in the ring, only remaining still for a moment before resuming his usual pacing state, his posture unaffected by the fans negative reaction.*
“I need to emphasize the focus on the word man, because I need to remind the world that’s all Alexander Parise is: a man. He is beatable, he can be…conquered, and who better to finally show the world of Parise’s mortality then his greatest rival.”
*Jimmy Gimmick turns directly to the camera following it closely with a focused stare, not taking his eyes off of the lens which looked back at him.*
“Alexander what you will never understand is that to me you were more than an apprentice, you were like a son. Sure I may not have taught you how to ride a bike, I may not have been at your birthday parties, but I crafted you in my own image, I allowed you to make your way into this industry. You are great Alexander but only because I chose to craft you that way.”
*The eyes of Gimmick remain on the camera but now confidence is replaced with frustration as he stops his movement around the ring to gain a better focus.*
“Together we were like the legends of history, Original Sin had the making of a magnificent empire, we were unbeatable, untouchable. We could have ruled over FCW I could have been the emperor and you could have stood by my side, alas similar to a corrupt soldier at the side of the man whose name you took, you betrayed me.”
*The brief frustration of Jimmy Gimmick seems to have regressed and he spoke his most recent line of dialogue, oddly with his tone of arrogance having returned, despite the subject that has had a history of arousing a passionate reaction from Gimmick.*
“Alexander because of your actions history will not remember us as the faction that we once were, instead we play the roles of eternal enemies, it is not what I wanted for either of us yet you leave me no alternative.”
*So far so good, he hadn’t even allowed his mind to wander until now, Gimmick spoke without pauses or hesitation, without thinking anymore than what his words indicated, yet now without the slightest warning his thoughts had now become his focus and his words had become the subconscious process.*
“Because of you we are destined to wage war with each other, we will be entangled in this perpetual struggle for complete supremacy, I see no end in sight and that is what I am being given the opportunity to change. Alexander I am going to correct history, this needs closure and in this ‘Double Jeopardy’ contest I will right the wrongs, I will cast away the doubts that surround me, Last Resort will be the answer to all of the questions. Just wait and watch.”
*Pacing it resumes, Gimmick walked from ring post to ring post, he had to, he couldn’t keep starring at the camera playing into this charade, he no longer felt the need to ramble in front of the crowd, but this was the only way he was able to escape. He needed this, he needed a diversion if he stayed in his house he would be smoking and thinking of his father, this was the only alternative it needed to work.*
“Parise I will be keeping a watchful eye on you at all times and…”
*Where was he going why did he even begin that last sentence he had no intention of completing it, Gimmick began avoiding eye contact from the crowd, hiding his face from the camera he looked to the canvas.*
Michael Cole: The strange behavior is continuing from Jimmy Gimmick.
*Gimmick looks around the floor as if he’s searching for something, the ringing in his ears of the fans booing, the flashes of camera’s from all around, none of it was processing in his mind, maybe he should just say what he’s thinking, how would that turn out, what would happen if he let the people in? He was almost certain it would just lead to their further rejection why make the effort?*
Tazz: Shut up Cole it looks like he’s about to say something…
*Suddenly he began to feel dizzy and the voices of the fans were amplified he could hear their jeers individually. There were generic shouts of ‘you suck’ the occasionally ‘fuck you Gimmick’ was bellowed through the arena, censors would likely cover it if it was loud enough to be heard on camera. The flashes from the audience, the bright lights from above, everything was losing its clarity, he had no words for a moment and even his thoughts had become a random cluster of information and emotion, when the words came to him Gimmick was waiting to see what would leave his mouth next just like everyone else.*
“This is your fault. Alex… you did this to me. Look at what you fucking did to me!”
*Gimmick screams, a blood curdling cry, he had never lost his cool like this before, the blurred image through his eyes caught the surprise of the fans some of them were even quieting. Gimmick had technical workers around the ring gesturing to him likely regarding his choice of language, who gives a shit? He wanted to keep talking, he had to.*
“You set me on this path, you stole what was mine! Y-y-you betrayed me, how could you do this? After all I’ve done for you… how the fuck could you do this?”
*Gimmick was beside himself Tazz and Michael Cole were silent, the fans were nearly to stunned to boo as Gimmick almost threw himself around the canvas now his arm clutching the ropes for support he roared like a mad man.*
“Get down here Alex! Right now! Get into my ring! This is all going to end!”
*There were men in the ring, was it him? Was the World champion here? Gimmick’s blurred vision made the men indistinguishable, they closed in on him, they had surrounded him, some of the men were carrying long rod’s in there hands, Gimmick flailed around psychotically spinning his head and with it spun his vision. Gimmick felt one of the men charge into him he fell to the canvas losing his balance. Gimmick kept his grasp on the mic shouting into it consistently before it suddenly shut off, they’d cut off my mic.*
“I won’t stand for this! This is bullshit! Dad I know this is you! I know its you!”
*Security begins dragging Jimmy Gimmick to the back the scene was a disaster, Gimmick continuing his babbling despite being forcibly removed from the ring and the fans booed, the commentators remained speechless as Requiem faded off the air for the final time.*
