The scene opens in the brand new Full Contact Wrestling Tuesday Night Requiem set. Full of screaming crowd members, a few of which are way too overly excited. The crowd grows quieter until the near silence is broken by a very familiar theme song
YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME?
Is heard as the crowd goes crazy for Edge's music. After the entrance way fills with smoke, the crowd goes even crazier when out from the smoke steps The Rated R Superstar, Edge. Skipping his usual ramp theatrics Edge walks straight to the ring, playing to the crowd a lot less than normal. After grabbing a mic, he begins to speak.
Edge: The brand new show! Requiem! And the poster boy for the new brand. The soon to be #1 superstar on the show is myself, The Rated R Superstar, EDGE!
The crowd seems to agree as cheering and a short "EDGE" chant breaks out in the further back seats.
Edge: And what's a brand new show without brand new everything? New feuds. New faces. New titles perhaps? That's exactly right. A brand new World Championship. The FCW Championship. Also known as Edge's future championship. You may be asking yourself, "Why is the greatest superstar in FCW humbling himself so low that he loses the tag team titles?" And the answer to that is, it wasn't my fault.
The crowd seems a little confused so boos nor cheers are heard.
Edge: I don't want to point any proverbial fingers, but, my partner Christian. Being missing for so long he obviously wasn't' prepared for a title defense. To put it simple, I would have rather gone in alone. But, I still love the guy none the less. He just has a few things he needs to sweep up and get back together. Which he will do in due time.
The confusion on the crowds faces didn't leave, but a look of relief came onto most of them.
Edge: But, now back to Requiem. We obviously are going to be the #1 brand. How can you have the #1 brand without the number one superstar? That's right, since Edge is here, Requiem is already better than Anarchy.
Another small "EDGE" chant broke out as Edge pauses before putting the mic back to his lips.
Edge: For Requiem's debut show, I have to take on FCW's very first Intercontinental Champion, Alexander "The Great" Parise. One of the younger guys on the roster. Call me a seasoned veteran, or whatever you want, but a future FCW Champion like myself will not lose to some cocky punk with his partner helping him do all the work for him so he can swoop in and capture the victory. No, no, no, Parise, it will not be that easy my young friend. I will come in the match, better prepared, pick up a well fought victory, and move on to bigger and better things. Most notably, the FCW Championship. Maybe one day Parise, maybe once in your life you will be able to step up to the plate and challenge the "big boys" for a World Championship.
Edge pauses and gets his usual cheer-break from talking. After putting the mic back to his lips he continues speaking.
Edge: Just a little over a week Parise, then your awakening will take place. You'll fall in line, and everything will be as it should be. So until then Parise
THE RATED R SUPERSTAR HAS SPOKEN
On that note Edge drops the mic and leaves the ring to cheers and his theme music as the screen fades to black.
