"Voices" by Rev Theory blares across the PA, and the crowd erupts in a chorus of boos. Randy Orton emerges from the back, and stops on the ramp. As he stands there he wears an expression of pure disgust. Slowly, he begins to make his way down the aisle. He climbs the ring steps, and enters through the ropes. He is handed a mic by a stagehand. As the crowd continues to boo, he speaks.
"Apparently, I've given some people the wrong impression. Apparently, there are a lot of people who feel like I have a personal grudge, or rivalry with Chris Jericho. I can assure you, whatever disagreement I have with Chris Jericho, it is in no way personal. You see for something to be personal, you have to care about it, or be worried about it. I am not worried about Chris Jericho in the least. Chris Jericho has nothing I want."
"You see Chris, I merely came to this ring and informed everyone that some of the things you said had angered me. I merely said that I would never allow you to become world champion. Still, not one part of that was personal. I was only pointing out the fact that I didn't care to hear your biography every time you show up."
"But it's obvious Chris, that I'm in your head. I mean, you had the opportunity to do an interview, and you spent the entire time explaining yourself. (Orton now smiles wickedly) I got to you so much Chris that you spent the entire duration of your TV time explaining yourself because of me. I forced you to provide reasons to attempt to validate all your bragging. Do you get it Chris? I controlled you like a puppet. Instead of simply stating that you want to fight me, you tried to convince the world that I was wrong. I played you like a violin."
"In the end Chris, as much as you'd like it, we don't have a rivalry. As much as you'd like to ride my coat tail to the top, you don't have anything I want. If we meet in the ring, I'll beat you because you're my opponent, not for any other reason. You're nothing special Chris. You're no more important to me than anyone else on this roster."
"That's the reason I'm out here. I needed to clear that up. The only thing that has my full attention is the world title, and I'll continue to beat whoever is put in front of me until I get it. So to all the other "superstars" here, it isn't just Chris Jericho, it's every single one of you. We aren't gonna be rivals. The fact is that I am the single greatest athlete in this company. I raise the bar every time I step into this ring. The rest of you watch me, and follow. No one here is worthy of warranting my full attention. I set the standard and the rest of the FCW roster can only hope to be second best. I am the greatest professional wrestler alive today."
"You see what it looks like to be the best? Watch the monitors back there whenever I am in this ring. I stand before you, head and shoulders above the competition. I stand before you, the absolute epitome of excellence. (He walks to the camera man standing on the apron, staring directly into his camera) I AM THE BEST!"
As his theme begins to play again, Orton continues to stare intensely into the camera. Finally, he turns to exit, never removing the look of hatred from his face.
