Brief History: Anthony Leone's parents, Aldo and Benedetta Leone were born and raised in L'Aquilla, Italy. Shortly after their marriage, an earthquake devestated their hometown, forcing them to move. Seeking a better environment for their children, they decided to move to the United States. Living in the slums of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the young couple were barely able to survive. To bring in some extra money, Aldo was forced to join the mafia as a soilder to the infamous Don Vincio Maritato, much to the chagrin of his wife. Shortly after joining the mafia, Benedetta discovered she was pregnant. Nine months later, Anthony Leone was born. Over the next five years, Aldo became successful in the mafia and was eventually promoted to Maritato's Underboss, the second-in-command of a crime family. It was at this time that Aldo's sister, still living in Italy, died and her son, Graziano, came to live with Aldo, Benedetta, and Anthony. Graziano and Anthony, being the same age, became as close as brothers. Aldo, though, became increasingly upset with Don Maritato. After ten years, Aldo finally snapped and killed Don Maritato and framed Dominic Gazzo, one of Maritato's Capos, whom he also had a deep hatred for. With Maritato dead and Gazzo framed for murder, Aldo became the Don and filled the two open spots by making his eighteen year old son and nephew, Anthony and Graziano, soilders. Disgusted with this behavior Benedetta divorced Aldo, but had no control over her son and nephew, who were now adults. So, for the next ten years, Anthony and Graziano aided Aldo in taking over all of the crime in Pennsylvania, and later in several other states along the East Coast. Unfortunately, a confrontation with another family led to Aldo being injured and retiring from the Mafia. The injury eventually led to his death, and on his deathbed he promoted Anthony to Don and Graziano to Underboss. As Anthony and Graziano continue to lead the Leone crime family, they have expanded their talents by joing the wrestling business, under the simple names The Don and The Underboss.
Picture Base:
Gimmick: If you haven't guessed by now, he's an Italian Mobster. Member of the "Leone Family" of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Though The Don tends to bend the rules a bit, his controversial style makes him a bit of a fan favorite.
Strengths:
Good Speaker - can talk and negotiate his way through confrontations.
Courageous - isn't afraid of anything and never backs down from a fight
Brawler - can wear down his opponents easily
Strength in Numbers - has his crime family accompany him to the ring for every match
Weaknesses:
Cocky - his mouth has the tendency to get him into trouble
Slow - doesn't work at a very fast pace and would have difficulty combating a much quicker wrestler
Cheater - bends the rules a bit, at the risk of being caught by the referee
Manager(s):
The Leone Family
The Underboss (Graziano Leone; Anthony's cousin)
Capo #1 (Jimmy Maritato; son of the late Vincio Maritato)
Capo #2 (Gianni Bardas)
All members wear matching leather jackets with "ITALY" written on the back in red, white, and green letters and matching sunglasses. None of the family members speak, except for Underboss.
