LIGHTS ON! CAMERA SET! GET READY FOR ACTION! This is, Last Resort. Everything is on the line. The taste of victory is on all tongues. They want it so bad. So bad it hurts. The pain growing more unbearable as each minute passes. A pain that can only be driven away by a three count. The three count going either way, in their favor, or against them. Either way it will give them closure. Closure in the form of Undisputed FCW World Heavyweight Champion. Or Championship Loser. Four men with this pain. The four men barely able to stand the anticipation. The anticipation of Double Jeopardy. The four aching men will walk in with the same idea in their minds. But only one has what it takes to make that idea a reality. Of the four suffering men, only one of those four will win the championship. Leaving the other three hungry. Hungry with the taste of defeat. Who will overcome? When the lights come on, the camera starts rolling, and the action resumes, who will stand tall? One man.
The voice of the man turns out to be the current FCW World Heavyweight Champion. One of the four men going into Last Resort vying for the unified championship. The Rated R Superstar, Edge.
Who has what it takes? Who I ask? Let's analyze the situation. All four men have potential, experience, drive, determination, and hatred to one another. The hatred is what will ultimately win the match, or cause an embarrassing loss. The determination, the two with the utmost determination are the two with everything to lose. Both myself and Alex Parise already hold FCW gold. While Gimmick and Orton are still short of reaching the brass ring. Even though Randy already had the brass ring in his grasp, he dropped it out of carelessness. What kind of champion is that? Really, he works so hard for the strap then loses it. Parise has determination of course. Enough to be Gimmick's whipping boy for months before Jimmy got what he wanted and kicked his "apprentice" to the curb. Just as I suspected. Gimmick's determination, I wouldn't even call it determination. Sure, he's smart, but how is that going to win a match? Outwit us into submission? I highly doubt it.
The voice of The Rated R Champion goes silent for a few seconds, before picking up where he left off.
Experience. A category I win without any effort. I've been in the game for many years now. Had my share of wins and losses. But one thing that's been true all along, the more you know about your opponent, the less he knows about you. And the less he knows about you, the more likely it is you'll win. And once again, I know everything about all three of these men. They think they know me. But, it's far from that. They know the sneaky, opportunistic Edge. That's not the Edge that will show up to Last Resort. The Edge they will see is one like no other. One so evil, so destructive you would mistake him for an animal. Except animals have some sense of decency. I will not.
Once again the voice fades away, before coming back again.
In the potential category, these four men are flowing with the potential of gods. But the way they execute themselves are in no way god-like. Their skill in managing their potential is slim to none. The three men aside from myself fight to what they think is their peak. To where they can't fight anymore. There, right there is where the boys are separated from the men. Just when you think I'm down for the count, I surprise everyone, even myself sometimes, when my shoulder goes up, and the look of shock and horror is on the faces of every man, woman, and child alike. I kick into a gear that was once unfathomed. Never thought of before.
Once again, the voice comes to what seems to be an abrupt end. But continues to the contrary.
What I'm known as is Rated R. But what will I be remembered as? The man who cheated his way to titles. The guy who took the best opportunity. The man who slept his way to glory. No, after Last Resort this Sunday, I will be remembered as the Undisputed FCW World Heavyweight Champion. And what will my three opponents be remembered for you ask? Simple riddle, even easier answer. The three so called "favorites" coming into Last Resort will be a triad of award winners. An award culminating all their mistakes into one whole glorious dishonor. The award for the biggest underestimation in the history of the business. They're all pacing themselves for each other. Gimmick's worried about Parise and Orton. Parise is getting the jitters thinking about Gimmick and Orton. And Orton's curled up in a corner thinking about if he will be facing Jimmy Gimmick or Alexander Parise. All three men have one very large detail in common. They're all overlooking the true victor here. The man who will walk in with one title over his shoulder. And leave Last Resort Undisputed.
And once again, like clockwork, the voice fades away. And also like clockwork, the voice scrambles its way back to fruition.
Like any good man, any self-respecting man I will come through with my promises. And even pull out a few things I knew I was capable of, but never thought to use at a moment like this. I will do this unlike my opponents, who will promise success but not be able to pull through. I'm the superior in this match. The man who will first take out Randy Orton. Then whomever is left after the decimation between Gimmick and Parise will also be taken out by yours truly. Until they're battered and bruised, I will fight. Fight like I've never fought before. I'll put the brass ring so high no ordinary man would be able to reach it.
The voice again, repeatedly stops abruptly. Waiting for the voice to continue, we get our wish and we hear Edge once again.
Coming into Last Resort, I know what's on the line. I know what I have to do. Because I am the Alpha. I am the Omega. I am The Rated R Superstar. And I will be victorious come Last Resort. Becoming the first ever Undisputed Champion in FCW. The Rated R Superstar has spoken!
