Welcome to the FCW Weekly Recap Show 7-29-09
The Requiem Situation
This is the first ever FCW Weekly Recap, and I must say the reason I kept pushing this off was because stuff kept happening, and I wasn't sure what the best day was for the show. First off, in huge news, the Requiem Brand was closed! The superstars were all jumbled into Anarchy, and things are going to get crazy! If the roster gets too full, we'll end up having to add another brand again anyways, so the question is, will it be Anarchy and Requiem again, or will it be a new brand for a new direction? Last Resort Results with Comments
Karl Storm, a talented newcomer defeated another newcomer with great skill as well, Matt Kraven. To be honest, regardless of who beat who, these stars are guys I could see being world champion at some point, possibly even sooner than anyone might think.
Intercontinental Champion Seifer Blacke defeated Evan Bourne in a title match. It was Blacke's first title defense, and he picked up the win. Evan Bourne put on a great show, and did really well. He has said that things "aren't over" with Seifer, and the two will do battle in another match on Anarchy. If Evan wins, he gets a title shot at Summer Salvation
Long time rivals clashed in the apex of their feuds, an I quit match. The match was a disappointment, however, because Kazarian didn't bring his A Game. Wizz Kid beat him around and then put Kaz's head in a very precarious position, causing him to utter "I Quit". Is the feud over? I certainly hope so. Wizz Kid needs to move on, and really utilize his talents. He needs a goal to aim for.
Conflict between employee and manager came to a head as John Cena got to confront his interfering boss, Mr. Kennedy. The brawl was dominated by Kennedy, who pretty much put the tired and battered employee in his place with the Mic Check. Is Cena content with things to end that way, or will he push the issue even further?
In quite possibly my favorite match of the night, Luminous Robin defeated ( I guess) Raven in one of the most entertaining matches for me. Some people don't like matches where every second is brutal weaponry and painful manuevers. Thumbtacks, Barb Wire, etc. were used to harm each other. In the end, Robin executed a cross body that took the barb wire out, landing in a sad heap of blood. The ref was so scared that his three count was literally a blink. He just wanted to get the fuck out of there.
Then there was the Double Jeopardy match, the most entertaining part of the night, because it was for the title. Randy Orton came back with a vengeance, RKOing and eliminating Edge. But Orton probably cost himself the match when he accidentally punted Jimmy Gimmick, causing the End Game to be released, Saving Parise. Gimmick was pinned, and then Parise put Orton away with a Piledriver. So after the carnage, who will face the Champion at the next title defense, Jimmy Gimmick or Edge? Only time will tell.
The Lists
-Top 5 Stars in FCW (Power 5) --1. Alexander Parise- He won the Double Jeopardy Match, and won the title. Enough said.
--2. Jimmy Gimmick- Had Randy Orton not punted him, could Gimmick have eliminated Parise with the End Game?
--3. Edge- After the match, Edge was quick to go on the offense, spearing the new champion.
--4. Randy Orton- The Legacy Leader has been on fire lightly, eliminating Edge early from Double Jeopardy, but things didn't play out well for Orton, who felt a Parise Piledriver in the end.
--5. Luminous Robin- Picked up the win I guess? In the No Rope Barb Wire Match
-Top 5 FCW Prospects --1. Matt Kraven --2. Karl Storm --3. Wizz Kid --4. Cody Rhodes --5. Evan Bourne

Edge vs. Parise In the Double Jeopardy Match, Alexander Parise reigned victorious, but in an effort to show he wasn't down and out, Edge speared the new champion. Then, this week on Anarchy, Edge defeated Jimmy Gimmick to gain Number One Contendership status. The two are now set to go to Summer Salvation where they will face off for the FCW World Title.
Evan Bourne After being defeated by Seifer, Evan Bourne was suddenly attacked by Lance Copeland, a member of another tag team. Could Copeland's team want a match with Legacy, or is this strictly a one on one battle? Surely Evan will try to get even?
Luminous Robin Hands down the most consistent, active, and best contributor to the site. His insight is always helpful, his work is impeccable and I don't see that world title evading him for long.
The Mid Card Mixed Bag In the mid card, there are several talented competitors that all have the potential to make it as a Worlds Champion. I would watch for a lot of great work and amazing worth coming from guys like Karl Storm, Matt Kraven, Alonzo Parker and Wizz Kid.
