Real Name: Jason Hearn.
Ring Name: Luminous Robin.
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 170 LBS.
Date of Birth: April 26th, 1986
Hometown: Adelaide, Australia
Resides: Adelaide, Australia
Alignment: Face
Entrance:
"The Last Firstborn" by Celldweller grinds over the sound system as the arena fades to pitch black. No sooner than the guitar has kicked in, the entire stage is thrown into a frenzy of different coloured strobe lighting. Robin himself nonchalantly dances his way down the rampway, wearing a fair few luminous glowstick-based apparel, leaping up onto the ring apron and climbing to the turnbuckle to pose to the fans, soaking up whatever reaction they choose to give him that week. He flips off the turnbuckle, removing the glowsticks upon landing and preparing for the match.
In Ring Attire:
Robin's practically blinding at a first glance. Usual attire consists of a standard tanktop, cargo pants and sneakers, each of them an overwhelming assortment of different colours. His hair style and colour, not to mention whatever facepaint he feels like wearing, changes about as often as the wind does. His entire body bar his face seems to be tattooed, spiralling patterns of different flowers down each arm, whilst his chest is covered with a practical masterpiece; an image of a flock of birds soaring through the air, with the raven at the epicenter and a robin under it's wing. Curiously, Robin will never be seen without a red leather dog collar around his neck and won't remove it for anything.
Wrestling Moves:
Swinging Neckbreaker
Spinning Wheel Kick
Jumping Arm Breaker
Kawada Kicks
Several variations of huracanrana
All manner of springboard, top-rope, cartwheel and vaulting moves - pretty much anything flashy and risky.
Signature Moves/ Finisher:
Climax - Short, sweet and unpredictable. A two-step hop into a superkick.
Evenflow - A solid snap DDT. Something he's borrowed from Raven, his former 'mentor'.
Brief History:
All things considered, Robin had quite the privileged life. A son of an investment banker and an owner of her own massage parlour, he was brought up in a life of wealth and luxury, but not love. Both parents saw each other as an ends to a means, the father hoping the massages would relieve the stress of the work whilst the mother lived for material possessions that his money could provide. He was the child that was supposed to fix the broken relationship, but instead, kept it together unwillingly. Eventually, Jason started to see their lifestyle as shallow as it was, and came to the conclusion that everything in life is hollow, unless done for the sake of enjoying yourself. He dropped out of school, and left home, at the age of 16.
Jason soon became a regular attendee to the club and rave scene, not so much for the actual club itself, but for the drug-fueled fights he's inevitably find himself in with other less level headed attendees. Jason became a literal adrenaline junkie, and it wasn't until the pro wrestling scene caught his attention, with all of it's colour, flamboyance and most of all, violence, that he finally decided on a future for himself. Adopting the name 'Luminous' from the club scene, and 'Robin' off the basis of a misinterpretation of his own name, Jason began wrestling training, and immediately stood out on the independent scene - in terms of both appearance and ability.
As soon as Robin signed up, he soon became one of FCW's hottest commodities - defeating Matt Hardy in his debut match, and cementing this win with a second victory at the very first pay-per-view. From there, the number of ticks in Robin's win counter skyrocketed, and the undefeated streak that followed made Robin arguably not only FCW's most popular superstar, but the most talented as well. Following a short brief moment as a 'follower' of Raven, believing he saw shades of himself in Raven's nihilism, it didn't take long for Robin to get bored of the torture on Raven's behalf and broke free in a brutal barbed wire ropes match.
Ever since being given a chance to spread his wings, Robin's fanbase has only grown further. The question is, whether the World title is within his grasp - or if he's even reaching for it.
Picture Base:
Gimmick:
Luminous Robin is a hedonist in every sense of the word, and just happens to be a sado-masochist at that. Hearn is loyal only to himself, and admits that he has no long term goals other than the 'pursuit of happiness', whatever that means, and has dedicated himself to doing whatever he wants, to whoever he wants, just because he can. Attracted by the glitz and glamour of the wrestling industry, not to mention the unrivaled rush of the fight, Robin's arrived to FCW in a storm of colour, speed, recklessness and incomprehensibility that the Ultimate Warrior could only have dreamed of.
Outside of the ring, you'd be pressed to find anyone - opponent or otherwise - who doesn't believe that Robin is a genuinely nice guy, and despite his proficiency in a variety of increasingly brutal match types, it's not a stretch of the imagination to believe that Robin doesn't have a bad bone in his body. Whilst approachable and friendly to all, there's also a hint of naivite to Robin's demeanor, as well as a twinge of underlying sadness. That maybe all the smiles are just a facade and that the kid could use a hug or something.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Robin's strengths and weaknesses are the same. His main strength is his absolute disregard for his own body, which has allowed him to become an undeniably world class high flyer. It's also this recklessness which means that matches can quite easily backfire, and the momentum of the match can turn at any moment to or against his favour. Whilst Robin's speed and resilience are most certainly up there, his strength is not, and he's not much of a forward thinker to have much of a match strategy either, meaning sometimes even going for the win won't cross his mind. Robin blowing chances for what might have been a good time for a pinfall or a rollup in favour of another big move are commonplace.
